Birds Beneath The Desert

So. Sometimes I do weird things when preparing for NaNoWriMo. Part of which is drawing maps. City, world, region, whatever. Whenever I try to do this by hand it becomes a fucking mess. So instead I do it on GIMP, where it is only somewhat of a mess. And, uh, pretty humorously unprofessional. Like this attempt at a Birds region map:



So, yes. That is the kind of thing I am doing to gear up for NaNo. In addition to the 14 pages of handwritten notes I already have for the story. (24 days to go, Christ, this is going to be ridiculous. /o\) If I don't finish this year, it will not be for lack of preparation. In fact, I have a feeling I'm going to have far more information than I need. But NaNo has taught me that it's better to be over-prepared than under-prepared.
